Neighborhoods

Chicago is a neighborhood city. Act like it.

Downtown is the introduction. The rest of the story starts farther out.

Three very different ways to spend a day without treating Chicago like one long downtown attraction.

01

Logan Square can keep going.

Start with coffee, stay for dinner and keep a neighborhood bar or a room with a DJ in reserve. Logan Square works because the day can get louder without requiring a move across town.

02

Pilsen is an all-day answer.

Murals, bakeries and small galleries give the walk a shape. Dinner is not the reward at the end; it is part of the neighborhood, so leave enough time and appetite for it.

03

Hyde Park is for a slower afternoon.

Choose Hyde Park when you want bookshops, old buildings and the lake without a packed schedule. It is a place to let one stop run long, then decide what to eat after.
