Slow day

A better Miami beach day starts with lunch.

Sand is easy. The places around it decide whether the day works.

Choose the food, shade and sunset plan before you choose the famous stretch of beach.

01

Pick the day around what comes after.

A beautiful beach with nowhere you want to eat becomes a short visit. A calmer stretch with a bakery, casual lunch and somewhere to sit out of the sun can hold the whole day.

02

North Beach is allowed to be simple.

This is the version for swimming, reading and not checking who has arrived. Keep the bag light. Keep the next stop close. Save the big cross-city move for after the sun drops.

03

Sunset does not need a velvet rope.

Find a drink, a bench or a table with the right direction. The best end to a beach day is often the place that lets you stay sandy a little longer.
