City plan

Miami before the night gets loud.

A calmer beach, a long lunch and no pressure to turn it into a club night.

The city is very good before midnight too. Here is how to keep the day loose and still end somewhere fun.

01

Start north when you want room.

North Beach is the easier answer when the brief is sand, a bakery and less interest in being seen. Go early, stay longer than planned and let lunch happen nearby.

02

Move inland for the second half.

Little Havana changes the rhythm: coffee, old counters, music and streets that become more interesting after dark. Wynwood works when you want art first and a busy bar later, especially if you step off the main drag.

03

Decide how loud before you go out.

Miami has no shortage of big nights. The useful choice is whether you actually want one. Search for the room, music and crowd you mean instead of letting the most famous address decide for you.
